2e klasse B - Concordia 3 vs Kampong 3

Summary:
Concordia 3 256 -2 (30.2 overs) v/s Kampong 3 254-7 (40 overs)

Report:
Going into the last home game of the season, the team morale was high considering that we had won consecutively five games at home and looking to make it six. Captain Vidhvat was just back from India, happy to lead, but partially annoyed by the Etihad cabin crew, air hostesses in particular for not letting him sleep during his flight. He straight away went to set the boundary while Sid, Geetha (on time for a change), Rahul and Ankush were setting the sight screen. Special mention for Faizi and Rupert who carefully selected which stumps should be used for the match. Shortly the opponents arrived and there was a familiar face in Pawan who was termed "Desh drohi" by Faizi. Soon, Vidhvat walked out for the toss with their captain, Poort, only to lose the toss and being asked to bowl.

Match Report 2B vs Qui Vive Home 4/8

Vidwath is considered as the man with golden hand in toss. Every time he flipped the coin, natures conspired in favor of his choice. But his luck was taken away by some mysterious force for last two matches.

Concordia lost the toss and fielded first.

Bowling:
our captain with saibaba hairstyle (god man in india) opened up the bowling. Sharma ji got our 1st breakthrough with a full toss and for another good length ball their keeper tried closing the bat prematurely, which ended his innings prematurely as well. Then came some hard hits from another opener, which was momentary until he fell the the same sharamama ji in longon (Should appreciate his field placement). Their middle order looked stable for a while until akshar planned the dismissal of settled batsman. In the mean time our hero vishal dude got injured for his superb (😉) fielding skills. In between Ibrahim mama arrived in shorts almost in  yo-yo honey singh costumes. Phani became pinchpenny in the middle overs, keeping  the middle overs tight and curtailed score. The batsman who whacked three clean sixes was looking dangerous, but this time ibrahim baba cleaned him off with perfect aerodynamic yorker, which is delight to watch. In the end Vidwath, siddarth and geetha did a decent job in restricting the score to 204.

2e klasse A - Concordia 2A vs VRA4 (July 1st)

VRA INNINGS (158/10)  36.1 overs

The day started on high spirits with the captains motivational speech, and from the demeaning loss from the previous game, Concordia was determined to make the best of every opportunity to grab this home game.

VRA winning the toss, chose to make us field first. As usual the 2A’s bowler in form Ayush started at one end and Hari decided to take on from the club house end. VRA’s opening batsmen (Giri) displayed some good cricketing shots putting the bad as well as the good balls across the ropes. Well, ayush was in no mood too to see his good balls being belted to boundaries and decided along with our (Dhoni Jr.) Mr. Reddy to see the first batsmen walk to the pavilion.

1e klasse Concordia 1 - HCC 2 (July 8th)

On a bright sunny morning, Concordia was riding high on their confidence after thrashing their top contender Ghausia last week. And that was demonstrated by our beloved captain who won the Toss and decided to use the winning formulae of batting first.

1e klasse Ghausia 1 vs Concordia 1 (July 1st)

The 10th game for Concordia EK was played against the top team of the league and fellow contenders for the title, Ghausia and that too at their home ground which resulted in a highly unlikely 145 run victory for Concordia (considering the ease with which Ghausia has been brushing aside opponents). The two sides had met earlier in the league resulting in Ghausia beating Concordia comfortably by 6 wickets and that too at Concordia's home ground. Our top order and lower order showed incredible batsmanship and application to negate Ghausia's bowling discipline which was followed by another of Srijith's special bowling spells (he is making it a habit this season) resulting in us winning the game.

On a really hot day with temperatures hovering around 27-28 degrees Concordia lost the toss and were asked to bat first (which was a blessing in disguise because the Concordia captain for the first time in the season was unsure about what to do first)

2e klasse A - Concordia 2A vs VVV (June 23td)

The 8th game for Concordia 2A was played at home against the league topper VVV which we lost in an eventful match. Remembering the horrible first game 2A team started their season against VVV, the team was charged-up to do well in this pseudo-knockout game to go top of the table. Our middle order batting showed resilience and good application but unfortunately were let down in bowling and fielding. On a typical part-sunny/cloudy day, Concordia used up all its luck for the day by winning the toss and choosing to bat first.

2e klasse B - Concordia 3 vs Kikkers 1 (June 10th)

Concordia 3 272/7 (Faizal 60*, Vishal 54, Ibrahim 42) beat Kikkers 1 222 all out (Unni 56, Extras 46, Shukla 3-39) by 50 runs

Going into the game with the confidence of their first win, Concordia 3 were looking forward to lock horns with bottom of the table friends - Kikkers who were looking to win their first game this season. There was a lot of anticipation in the team to get the momentum going with a victory over Kikkers, especially after the great batting performance against Dosti. Sid Sharma's and Rupert's absence gave a chance to Ragav and Shukla to experience the awesome atmosphere of Concordia 3.

Match Report Concordia DSV 1 Eerste Klasse vs HV & CV Quick - What If..

Our second match ended in defeat - a loss which makes each of us go "what if.." for many things that could have been different. For started this was a home match but had to be played at Punjab as firstly our ground wasn’t available and then Sparta cancelled last moment. However we were lucky to get a full match in considering the weather – only 1 interruption in a day like that was quite good.
